Properly diagnosing the need for crown-lengthening procedures is of paramount importance, as is understanding the differences between esthetic crown lengthening and functional crown lengthening on a posterior tooth. This hands-on experience will utilize pig jaws to show a step-by-step procedure for crown lengthening teeth in both the anterior and posterior regions of the mouth.  Demonstrations will be given of bone recontouring, suturing, and surgical techniques and then performed by each participant.
