Due to its versatility, Platelet Rich Fibrin has become very popular. PRF has improved the predictability and efficiency of surgical procedures while proving to be cost effective. This course will discuss the biologic basis of PRF, iPRF, L-PRF, and A-PRF and provide a detailed description of the most common applications in clinical dentistry.  In this course the practitioner will gain a better understanding of the clinical process involved and its use as a graft substitute, membrane and its role in enhancing the healing process. 

Th5020 - Atraumatic Extractions Using Magnetic Mallet & Socket Grafting for the General Practitioner

In this hands-on course, we will discuss the biological basis and techniques for atraumatic extractions for implant placement. Additionally, we will describe the use of the magnetic mallet to extract complicated broken teeth while preserving the socket walls.  Also, we will review preparation of the sockets for grafting, immediate implant placement and wound closure.

In this course we will discuss protocols to develop most surgical sites for implant placement. Topics to be reviewed include: diagnosis of defects and problems, guided bone regeneration, graft materials, flap management with the triple layer suturing, and a hands-on exercise for developing sites on models. The practitioner will gain confidence and provide optimal patient care with the four-step proven protocol. Develop a cookbook for the most commonly encountered defects in general practice. 

 

Note: Attendees are encouraged to bring loupes to use during the course.
