Successful periodontal therapy requires dealing with both the micro-bacteria and the host response. By utilizing light energy, we can better address both sides of the healing equation as well as improve aesthetics. This course will include basic laser science along with research and clinical cases to showcase the effectiveness of laser therapy.

Learning Outcomes: 

• Understand how a laser works to be prepared to do basic laser procedures and appreciate advanced therapies
• Understand laser periodontal therapy and cosmetic options
• Learn how to execute basic laser periodontal treatment (when combined with a hands-on course)
