This one-hour presentation will feature the use of conservative techniques for anterior bonded porcelain restorations and the indications for less conservative techniques when Glass Ceramic veneers are indicated. Covered will be specific guidelines for minimal preparation veneers, normal preparation veneers, and more aggressive preparations and for when it is more appropriate to crown vs. when to veneer. Techniques will be touched on for smile design (analysis) using bonded mock-up techniques that motivates the patient to accept the proposed treatment and allows functional evaluation. Preparation guidelines will be covered great detail for all clinical indications for veneers and specially how to control tooth reduction. Guidelines will be given on the amount of tooth structure to be removed (if any) based on specific clinical situation. Current concepts in adhesive cementation and Dentin sealing will also be covered.
