Bone Grafting and Dental Implants: When, Where, What and Why

Implant dentistry has evolved over the past 20 years. Once considered the last
resort treatment, implants are now considered the gold standard for replacing
missing teeth. The question remains however, what steps should be taken to
achieve the goal of an ideal restoration? This course will discuss the differences
between the myriad of bone grafting materials available. Understand the
indications for bone grafting. See how using grafting material can enhance the
final restorative result. Also, discuss the role of PRP (platelet rich plasma),
BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) and other growth factors.
