History of Opioids Amid Today’s Opioid Crisis

For centuries opioids have been used to control pain and suffering, but at what cost
to us, our families and our dental practices? According to the Centers for Disease
Control, approximately 114 people die from opioid overdose every day in the United
States, which is far more than the number of people who die each day in automobile
accidents. Where do these opioids come from? This lecture will alert attendees to the
impact of this crisis on the dental community.
