Meeting the demands imposed by many patients, the implant overdenture has become the standard of care for the edentulous mandible. Reinforcing the concepts taught in the “Go Ahead, Bite Into That Apple!” Diagnosing for Success: Avoiding Complications with Implant-Assisted Overdentures lecture, this workshop is ideal for those who wish to gain the skills to successfully incorporate the implant overdenture in their practice. Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to work with a variety of attachment systems, and will be able to keep the specially-designed model as a visual aid for their patients.
Learning Objectives:
- Perform a space analysis and measure trans-gingival width
- Select, place and torque implant overdenture abutments
- Retro fit, activate and replace retention in a processed denture
Note: Course Th206 is a prerequisite for this course. Attendees are asked to bring loupes (readers), college pliers and a sickle scaler.
