With the new laws on medical ethics and sexual harassment awareness training, we will review all the current continuing education and training regarding professional boundaries as well as unprofessional conduct relating to the commission of acts of sexual intimacy, abuse, misconduct, or exploitation with regard to the practice of dentistry. Then we will discuss appropriate measures to deal with legal or investigative matters. After attending this lecture you will understand the new laws, appreciate that it does affect the way we practice and do business, be prepared for a law suit, and comprehend the fines and penalties involved in non-compliance.
