To provide safe and effective dental treatment to medically complex patients, dental practitioners must be equally aware of the medical considerations of agents used in dentistry as well as the dental considerations of medications used in general medicine. This program will present an overview of  medications prescribed or administered in the practice of dentistry, and in the treatment of systemic disease, whose actions, effects, or interactions with other drugs may also impact dental therapy.
