Provisional restorations are critical to successful outcomes in restorative dentistry. This lecture and workshop will help the attendee to understand the fundamentals of aesthetics, function, contour and fit required in creating excellent provisionals. In the workshop, attendees will complete a single unit molar provisional, a three unit posterior provisional, and a central incisor provisional. The materials, instruments, and techniques will be presented in detail. Attendees will learn how to enhance, correct, and repair the provisionals made in the workshop. In addition, we will discuss how to fabricate predictably excellent provisionals for more complex cases.
