Thursday Courses
Th375 - Navigating Endodontics: Diagnosis, Anesthesia, Access, Instrumentation Advancements
Time: 8:30 - 11:30 AM
Room: GWCC,
Type: General    Handouts: No
Dentist Fee: $0.00  Other Fee: $0.00

Which tooth is it? How do I get the patient numb? Which filesystem should I use? Technological advances will allow you to provide efficient and excellent endodontic care for your patients. This evidence-based lecture presentation will allow you to separate the facts from the fiction with diagnosis and treatment planning; anesthesia, access, isolation; recent improvements in the delivery of irrigation solutions that have enhanced the reduction of bacteria and debris in the root canal system; and the instrumentation phase of endodontic treatment with locating the canal orifices, negotiating the canals, opening the orifice, reconfirming working length, and utilizing "cutting edge" rotary/reciprocation instruments.

1.      List 15 steps of diagnosis emphasizing medical/dental history, radiographs.

2.      Outline the progression of local anesthetics, access, and isolation.

3.      Describe the steps of rotary/reciprocation instrumentation.

Th376 - Charting the Latest Endodontic Technology: Irrigation, Obturation, Restoration, Post-Op
Time: 1 - 4 PM
Room: GWCC,
Type: General    Handouts: No
Dentist Fee: $0.00  Other Fee: $0.00

How do I fill a canal? What is the best restoration after endodontic treatment? Which pain medications and antibiotics are best?  You will learn answers to these and many more questions with this evidence based half day lecture presentation highlighting: obturation of gutta-percha that has improved with bio ceramic sealer; restoration of endodontic treated teeth; and post-operative care with appropriate antibiotics and pain medications.

1.      Describe the different delivery procedures for obturation.

2.      Evaluate the different restorative procedures following endodontics.

3.       Identify the correct pain medications and utilization of antibiotics.

Friday Courses

Do you wonder which endo instrument is the safest and most efficient? Are you tired with lateral condensing of accessory points? This evidence-based hands-on course will provide you cutting edge rotary/reciprocation instrumentation with new flexible and safe files; location of calcified canals and MB2; and obturation of the root canal system utilizing bio ceramic sealer.

1. Demonstrate location of canals with special burs.

2. Utilize rotary and reciprocation instrumentation.

3. Exhibit obturation with bio ceramic sealer.
