Pediatric dentistry is far more than filling teeth on little people. It is managing behavior, understanding facial development, establishing successful treatment plans and performing the appropriate procedures. This course will stimulate your thinking about dental age, sequential care and management tools for successful care of children in a general practice. Part of the vastly different world of pediatrics includes watching a child grow as each examination with a pediatric patient is actually a new patient examination.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the crucial role of radiographs in pediatric dental examinations.

• Diagnose and treat primary teeth in need of stainless steel crowns.

• Appreciate the importance of anomalies in each pediatric dental exam.

Do primary tooth crowns mystify you? In this hands-on workshop,
attendees will learn posterior stainless-steel and anterior composite
crown techniques and then perform them on a typodont. Clinical
and radiographic diagnosis is also included. After this course,
practitioners will be ready to place these crowns with ease on the
children in their practice.


Note: Attendees are invited to bring loupes to the course.
