Dental patients present with a variety of needs and desires, yet rarely do they independently seek non-surgical periodontal treatment, or solutions to sleep disordered breathing. Generally, patients are unaware of periodontal inflammation compromising supporting bone and vascular health, or airway issues affecting quality sleep and systemic inflammation. How do we educate, motivate and initiate advanced dental/medical protocols for our patients? We find expert clinicians, with years of experience, to guide us… like Wilkerson and Davis! Today’s oral-systemic environment yields itself to capitalizing on the prevention of downstream effects of active periodontal diseases and airway disorders. This rapid paced, interactive presentation, features strategies that optimize the synergy between dentists and dental hygienists for screenings, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and interventions.
