Most dentists still think of composite as filling material that should be packed into boxy preps and cured in layers. That is simply the wrong way to use composite. In this fast moving and entertaining lecture, Dr. Clark will demonstrate the art and science of monolithic injection molded composite dentistry using modern cavity preparations, ultrathin anatomic clear matrices that can completely wrap the tooth, and heated multi-viscosity resins. Learn: • The 6 keys to world class contacts 100% of the time in a Class II • How to injection mold to treat black triangles, peg laterals, fractured teeth and diastemas • How to safely warm composite, and why • Deep margin management • Ultra glossy stain proof anterior restorations

Friday Courses
Fr122 - Modern Monolithic Injection Molded Composite Dentistry
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Room: Omni, Redwood
Type: Participation    Handouts: Speaker bringing
Dentist Fee: $425.00  Other Fee: $425.00

Say goodbye to layering, condensing, and burnishing!  Experience a unique approach to modern resin dentistry. Participants will perform injection molding to create ideal margins, rounded emergence profiles, and mirror smooth restorations in two Anterior exercises.  Participants will restore the Clark Class II non-retentive infinity edge preparation with realistic soft tissue dentaforms, Bioclear matrices, 3M Filtek and Filtek One composites. Updated cavity preparations using Komet burs will be shown. Objectives: • The 6 steps to achieve rock solid posterior composite contacts in even the most difficult cases. • Modern matrices, wedges and separators. • How can you best combine flowable and regular composites with the injection molding technique, and when to use bulkfills. • Treating the “Dreaded Black Triangle” . • How to handle heated composites • Get predictable cavity preparations with new bur shapes.

Currently the diagnosis and treatment of cracked and fractured teeth is largely symptom based and is often a sad, end stage diagnosis. The fracturing process is one of dentistry’s last great mysteries and is poorly understood. In this engaging and entertaining lecture, you will learn to understand and diagnose pathologic cracks utilizing magnification and other modalities, and treat long before symptoms arise or the tooth becomes unsalvageable. Learn the routine identification of early cracks and  the Clark Class II saucer shaped nonretentive preparation and Fissurotomy Class I that are a significant departure from the G.V. Black preparations that are a leading cause of cracked teeth.  Receive a blueprint for diagnosis and treatment of complete and incomplete fractures ·
