For many years surgical periodontal procedures were thought of as destructive, disfiguring techniques which negatively impact patients’ aesthetic sensibility. This presentation will focus on the harmonious relationship between aesthetic parameters and surgical periodontal therapy. Understanding the importance of case selection, the concept of “Biologic Width,” and the dynamics of wound healing will improve your restorative end results. Control of patients’ aesthetics is maximized when the restorative dentist has a comprehensive understanding of the “Gingival Frame” surrounding their work.

Fr265 - Root Coverage: No Pain, But Lots Of Gain!
Time: 1 - 4 PM

Gingival augmentation procedures are thought of as painful, disfiguring surgical techniques, which often negatively impact patients’ aesthetic sensibility. The advent of regenerative material derived from the enamel matrix of developing tooth buds, now allows dentists to predictably cover exposed root surfaces without utilizing palatal donor sites or human allografts. Think it’s not possible? Attend this course and judge for yourself.  Develop an enhanced understanding of the benefits and limitations of different gingival augmentation techniques.
