Type: Registered    Handouts: No
Dentist Fee: $80.00  Other Fee: $50.00

Meeting the patient’s expectations can be challenging to accomplish in our anterior all-ceramic restorations. Ideally, no-prep is the objective, but is this practical? Learn when no-prep is indicated and how best to preserve natural tooth structure. Dr. Brian LeSage will review in depth his Veneer Classification System first published in Compendium in 2013. Color and color communication with the ceramist will be reviewed. Prototypes and adhesive cementation protocol to attain biomimetic and clinically acceptable outcomes will be discussed.

Time: 8:30 - 11:30 AM
Room: GWCC,
Type: Participation    Handouts: No
Dentist Fee: $395.00  Other Fee: $395.00

Learn to apply the essential steps necessary to produce predictable outcomes in these non-retentive, ultra-thin and minimally invasive porcelain restorations. Each participant will perform a mock-up on a special model, which in turn will be used as a preparatory guide. Preparation designs will include no-prep, minimal prep and conventional prep as described in the LeSage Veneer Classification system published in Compendium in 2013.  Emphasis will be on keeping veneer preparations mostly in enamel and the ideal substrate. The participant will visualize and mock-up a complex aesthetic makeover case and fabricate a clear putty matrix to create a preparatory guide. Learn preparation design based on the clinical scenario.

SA370 - Lessons Learned Utilizing CAD/CAM in an Adhesive Dental Practice the Last 10 Years
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Room: Omni,
Type: General    Handouts: No
Dentist Fee: $0.00  Other Fee: $0.00

Dr. Brian LeSage will focus on over 30-plus years of clinical experience using adhesive dentistry and its relationship to the term "minimally invasive dentistry." What should you know, and how do you use the various adhesive systems effectively day in and day out? This knowledge base will inspire the clinician to reconsider retention and resistance form in preparation design and consider more preservation of tooth structure. Recognize: When to use a direct composite restoration versus an indirect restoration on posterior teeth with CEREC; if an Indirect CEREC restoration is indicated, what criteria should be considered to avoid a crown; and how to differentiate between total etch, self-etch and universal adhesives.
