The rise of digital technologies and ability to fabricate CAD-CAM restorations is transforming the dental profession. However, the scientific evidence reveals the ability to deliver a long-term successful restoration is dependent upon factors not experienced with the traditional fabrication methods. This presentation will demonstrate treatment planning guidelines that integrate current materials with digital technology as well as conventional protocols. Clinical tips and techniques for ceramics and CAD/CAM success will be reviewed and demonstrated with the Dental Microscope HD Video.

Fr255 - Myth Buster! The Evidence Reveals What's Best for Posterior Composites and Alternatives for Compromised Situations

Dentist Fee: $95.00  Other Fee: $65.00

Comparative studies show amalgam outperforms adhesively-placed composites in longevity. However, composite remains highly sought-after by patients due to esthetic, environmental and health concerns. This evidenced based presentation will review treatment planning risk factors for placing adhesive based composites and explore self-adhesive options available to the clinicians when unfavorable clinical situations exist. Step-by-step protocols for preparation, placement and finishing techniques to achieve precise margins, consistent contacts and reduce post-op sensitivity will be demonstrated with video for optimal and compromised clinical conditions.
