Fructose and Lectins: Health Disruptors in Our Diets, Or Not?

Paleo, keto, gluten-free, sugar-free and the list goes on and on. What diets promote inflammation, and what foods dampen it? This course examines two components of the Western diet that dental professionals should be knowledgeable about. Many of the chronic inflammatory conditions patients present with can be exacerbated or improved with dietary choices. Examine what role, if any, lectins derived from fruits and vegetables, and added sugars in the form of fructose have on systemic diseases, and lasting health.
