SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY TOUR

Includes the Garland Home and Lunch at the Swan Coach House
COURSE #S414
9:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Fee: $52

Join us for a unique springtime view of Atlanta! We’ll see some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Atlanta – Ansley Park, Peachtree Battle and West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead – all of which will be surrounded by azaleas, dogwoods and a wonderland of spring flowers.

We’ll visit the 1911 home of Ed and Judy Garland, designed and built to bring people together. The architect, George O. Totten, Jr. originally designed this home for Florida Attorney General and later U. S. Representative William B. Lamar. The 16,000 square foot Italian Renaissance Revival home of the Garlands welcomes guests in a two story entrance hall. The house has been featured in nine movies and the owners feel that they are simply the current custodians of this beautiful longstanding landmark. Lunch at the colorful Swan Coach House will surely delight you. An Atlanta landmark for many years, this restaurant was originally a coach house for the renowned Swan House, designed by Phillip Shutze, located on the same property. A southern tradition, the Coach House has made many happy memories – hosting year round social events, charity auctions, weddings, receptions, and special birthdays! It’s Atlanta’s own, for sure.
