A Review of Intraoral Scanning: Scanners, Accuracy and Clinical Techniques

Digital impressioning is rapidly changing and making our decision to
incorporate technology into everyday clinical practice intimidating. This
seminar aims to describe intraoral scanning technology, will review the
various scanners available on the market including literature on their
accuracy, and analyze their costs that will assist the clinician in making
a sound decision in the dental marketplace. Additionally, clinical
techniques associated with intraoral scanning will be described in
depth and strategies on how to seamlessly incorporate scanning into
everyday clinical workflow will be discussed.
